I just returned from traveling through europe, so sorry about the lack of posting, but internet isn't always an easy thing to come by. Here is my sketchbook from my final semester at Virginia Commonwealth University, before I left on my adventure. Be sure to check back soon for a post of some juicy stuff from my trip.

Z

This is a front and back mock-up book cover to David Grann's The Lost City of Z. The book is about Grann's search to uncover the mystery of Percy Fawcett, the last great Victorian explorer who fell in love with the Amazon and became obsessed with his search for a supposed "city of gold". Fawcett eventually disappeared into the jungle and was never heard of again. The concept for this piece was a sort of before and after portrait of the explorer.

Kuba Kuba

So I've been having a lot of fun lately screen printing enlarged drawings from my sketchbook. This drawing was done while waiting for my dinner at Kuba Kuba, a locally owned cuban restaurant in Richmond, VA. It is 5 layers and my second attempt at screen printing. I will post some of my other pieces as soon as I photograph them.
