I was fortunate enough to have this piece selected for the Society of Illustrators 53rd annual.  This is my first time having work in the competition and I'm pretty excited about the whole thing.

Cotton Model

I saw an odd advertisement the other day with a lady modeling cotton and posing with a bunch of sheep.  So just having some fun with gouache.

a man with a solution

This piece was based of an article about the growing popularity of bicycling in New York City and how it is now one of the most bike friendly cities in the world.  The city has attempted to adapt to this with such things as providing more bicycle racks and designated lanes.  This is a good thing for the environment, personal health and limitation of automobile traffic, and in my opinion is the best way to get around in a city.  There has also been, however, a negative effect.  Many cyclists break laws such as riding in the wrong direction down lanes, running stop lights, riding on sidewalks, etc., which considering the heavy traffic and high population of the city can cause problems.   This has resulted in many injuries and even deaths through various collisions.

So, this is a proposed solution.
